I've published short stories with Analog, The Black Gate, and anthologies such as The Change (published by Roc), The Dragon and the Stars (published by DAW), and Shanghai Steam. The last two anthologies in that list are collections of works by authors in the Chinese diaspora. I'm half-Chinese, the granddaughter of Muslim Chinese immigrants to the US.

Cassandre paints diverse, beautifully human, real and strong women in the epic contexts of myths and fairytales. Her passions are the sacred feminine, matriarchal societies, pre-civilization goddess worship, women's studies, and peeing alone once in awhile (she has kids!). She has worked largely on RPG illustrations of kick-ass women and fantasy book covers. but have also taken on children's books, digital murals, and concept art. Cassandre graduated from Penn State University with a B.F.A in Fine Art though she credits her kids, more than her degree, for where she is today in her career. Nothing motivates more than having little people move into your life and take it over! She is a 2014 Illustrators of the Future award winner, has been featured in ImagineFX magazine, and just moved back to the States after a decade abroad living in Dubai (She really really misses the hot weather!).
